About us

RAZUM Consultancy was established by Kris Teece in response to a growing need for specialist, practical, and flexible support within complex behavioural risk and professional practice environments.
Derived from the concept of reason, understanding, and sound judgement, “RAZUM” reflects the consultancy’s commitment to structured thinking, analytical rigour, and informed decision-making in complex and high-risk contexts.
RAZUM was created to address gaps in workforce capability, structured risk response, and access to specialist consultation for professionals and organisations navigating complex presentations, professional practice challenges, and high-risk situations across human services settings.
The consultancy provides systems-informed support tailored to organisational and practitioner needs, with a focus on practical application, professional accountability, reflective practice, and defensible decision-making.
Meet Kris
Kris Teece is an independent consultant specialising in sexually harmful behaviour, behavioural risk assessment, structured triage, and workforce capability development. She supports professionals and organisations to navigate complex and high-risk situations with clarity, structure, and practical decision-making.
With extensive experience across child protection, justice, and human services environments, Kris brings a strong understanding of the complexities involved in managing risk across systems and agencies. Her work has involved collaboration alongside health services, law enforcement, education, and multidisciplinary teams where analytical rigour, sound judgement, and professional accountability are essential.
While Kris has specialist expertise in sexually harmful behaviour and sexual exploitation, her practice extends more broadly across complex behavioural presentations, workforce capability, professional practice, and risk management within family and community settings.
Kris applies a systems-informed approach to assessment, supervision, training, and staff development. She provides both specialist and general professional supervision for practitioners, leaders, and teams working in complex practice environments.
As a qualified trainer and educator, Kris designs and delivers specialised training and workforce development initiatives focused on understanding, responding to, and managing sexually harmful behaviours and complex risk presentations.

THE STORY BEHIND OUR LOGO
The Razum Advisory logo was thoughtfully designed by Chase Griffiths, an Aboriginal artist from Anaiwan Country in and around Armidale.
The owl at the centre of the design represents courage, wisdom, guardianship and protection- values that reflect the foundation of our work. It symbolises the strength to face challenges, the importance of informed decision-making, and our commitment to providing trusted guidance and support.
We acknowledge and celebrate the cultural significance, creativity and meaning embedded in this artwork, and are proud to carry these values forward through the Razum Advisory brand.
